Pushpa Actress Rashmika Mandanna has once again secured a significant opportunity, landing the lead role in an upcoming film directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Dhanush. This offers her a remarkable chance, as Kammula is renowned for crafting strong and distinct roles for female leads.

This venture marks Sekhar Kammula's first foray into a pan-India film, partnering with Dhanush, and Rashmika's selection as the lead actress is indeed a monumental achievement. The film, tentatively titled 'D 51', is set to commence filming in the following weeks, with Rashmika Mandanna and Dhanush collaborating for the first time. The official announcement confirming Rashmika's involvement was made on August 14.

Reportedly, the producers are in discussions with several prominent figures for various roles, including talks with Akkineni Nagarjuna. Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in 'Mission Majnu', opposite Siddharth Malhotra, which premiered directly on Netflix. She is currently engrossed in the filming of the highly anticipated project 'Pushpa: The Rule', alongside Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar.

The announcement on August 14 by the 'D 51' team confirmed Rashmika Mandanna's role as Dhanush's counterpart in the movie.
