Chopping Nivetha’s Song: Good? Or Bad?

Well, not featuring the song ‘Mala’ in the release version of Adarsha Kutumbam is definitely a good call by the director Trivikram.

Of course, just a week before the release of “Adarsha Kutumbam”, the makers have revealed that there is a special song between Venaktesh and Nivetha Pethuraj, and that song is titled ‘Mala’, going by her name in the movie. Even the video and lyrics are out, and many thought that the song would make ripples inside theatres for the kind of glamour topping sprinkled by the heroine. However, the shocker is that the song is not there on Day 1’s show.

Well, not featuring the song ‘Mala’ in the release version of Adarsha Kutumbam is definitely a good call by the director Trivikram. Because there are not many scenes for Nivetha that are actually linked to the story, but she’s present only to fill the glamour part. As Srinidhi Shetty is shown in a more homely way, probably the director might have thought that Nivetha would act like a filler, but then, any song with Venky would have felt forced in the narrative. Hence, chopping that song actually worked out for the better of the movie.

On the other hand, usually Trivikram’s sub-characters do something to the story, and they help at least trigger a case. Nivetha’s similar second fiddle role in Ala Vaikuntapurramlo makes bit of sense, but here in #AK47, surely the role has nothing to offer, and somehow that’s a major disappointment.
