'Adhurs' Villain To Become CBN In 'Yatra 2'!

The political fever is slowly gripping the Telugu states. The election in Telangana are nearing and the AP politics are hot as ever. With the general elections of Andhra Pradesh arriving in April 2024, we will be seeing a lot of propaganda films that will try to influence people's minds. During the last elections, we saw movies like 'NTR' biopic and 'Yatra' hitting the screens.

As we know, 'Yatra' was highly successful and 'Yatra 2' is in the making now. Mahi V Raghav is planning to bring this film on 8th February. While the first part focused on how late YS Rajasekhar Reddy's 'Paada Yatra' helped him win the 2004 elections. The second film will not just focus on YSR but also showcase the rise of current AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Jeeva is the hero in this movie as he is playing Jagan's role while Mammootty will reprise YSR onscreen again. The latest we hear is that the opposition leader Chandra Babu Naidu's role will be portrayed by top actor Mahesh Manjrekar. The Marathi actor is well known to the Telugu audience through films like 'Okkadunnadu', 'Adhurs' and many others. He is the father of 'Major' and 'Skanda' heroine Saiee Manjrekar. As we know, playing Chandra Babu Naidu's role is very challenging and it will easily become a controversy if things go wrong.

With CBN in jail, the TDP members are even more angry and it is to be seen how he will showcased in 'Yatra 2'. Shiva Meka is the producer while Santosh Narayanan is the music composer for this film. Madhie is the director of photography while Selva Kumar is the art director.
