Dacoit, the Pan India film starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur and directed by debutant Shaniel Deo, continues to build strong momentum with the launch of its first single, Rubaroo. After the gritty teaser that showcased the film’s raw tone, this song opens an entirely different emotional layer- one that explains the fire behind the protagonist’s fury.
Composed and sung by Bheems Ceciroleo with vocals also by Chinmayi Sripada, Rubaroo unfolds as a fond yet haunting melody. It charts the arc of a boy who loves with his whole heart, only to be wrecked by a betrayal that changes everything. Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar’s lyrics paint the innocence of first love and the ache of shattered trust with striking simplicity.
The visuals spotlight Sesh’s character in two stark shades, his carefree, love-filled days with Juliet, and the wounded, hardened man he becomes when she breaks him. The chemistry between Sesh and Mrunal is organic, effortless, and endearing, making the heartbreak hit even harder.
Backed by producer Supriya Yarlagadda with Suniel Narang as co-producer and presented by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit is set to hit theatres on April 10th.
