Mani Ratnam's Favourite Heroine Onboard For 'Thug Life'!

There is news floating around Chennai circles that former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is onboard for Kamal Haasan's upcoming project 'Thug Life'. As we know, Kamal is teaming up with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam after 36 years. In 1987, they created a cult classic film 'Nayakudu' and movie lovers speak about it even today.

They reunited for 'Thug Life' and the title announcement video got a huge response from the audience. Kamal's look and visual presentation were praised by many and the expectations are huge on this film. This is Kamal's 234th film and reports arrived that Trisha or Nayanthara might be the heroine of this film. But Aishwarya Rai came into the picture now and we need to see if it happens or not.

Aishwarya Rai was the female lead in Mani Ratnam's movies like 'Iruvar' and 'Raavan'. She never acted with Kamal Haasan before fans are eager to see this combination. AR Rahman is composing the music for this film while Ravi K Chandran is the cinematographer. Anbariv are choreographing the fights and it is Sreekar Prasad who is the editor. Mani Ratnam is the writer and director of this film along with being the co-producer.

Talking about the film Kamal said, "I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mr. Mani Ratnam. Collaborating with a similar mindset is stimulating. This stimulation includes Mr. Rahman as well. Eagerly looking forward to presenting this venture with Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin." Mani Ratnam stated that he is happy, honoured and excited to collaborate with Kamal Sir again.
