Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan, known for delivering consistent hits, is unexpectedly facing trouble with his new film. Son of Sardaar 2 is releasing on August 1, but things aren't going smoothly. Unlike the first part, which was a remake of Maryada Ramanna, this one has a fresh storyline. The plot follows Sardaars journey abroad, with Mrunal Thakur playing the lead actress. But the trailer didnt impress and quickly became a target for trolls online.
The bigger issue is the lack of theater screens. Saiyaraa is still going strong at the box office, and exhibitors want to keep it running. At the same time, the animated film Mahavatar Narasimha is pulling crowds everywhere and isnt slowing down. Tollywood, Vijay Deverakondas Kingdom, is also doing well. With all this, Son of Sardaar 2 is getting pushed out.
To attract viewers, the makers have announced a first-day offer: 50% off if you buy two tickets, basically a one-plus-one deal. But the timing couldnt be worse. Dhadak 2, starring Tripti Dimri, is releasing the same day on a much bigger scale. Its a tough spot for Ajays film, which has managed to secure only around 1,000 screens nationwide.
Unless the movie gets strong talk after release, things wont be easy. Its surprising to see someone like Ajay Devgan, who rarely misses at the box office, face this kind of uphill battle. Fans are hopeful, but the road ahead for Son of Sardaar 2 looks steep.
