“Audience Proved Everything Wrong”

Actor Ajay Ghosh spoke openly at the Irumudi success meet and thanked the audience for making the film a big success. He said that the audience had once again proved the power of cinema in theatres.

Ajay Ghosh said, “First of all, I bow down to the audience. Whatever I spoke at the pre-release event that day has now been proved true by the audience. Some people say that audiences are not coming to theatres and that everyone is watching movies on OTT. But this success has proved that it is not true.”

He said the response to Irumudi was unbelievable. He pointed out that fans even came to theatres in groups and supported the film strongly.

Ajay Ghosh also spoke about his character in the movie. He revealed that he originally thought he would play the MLA character. However, after Ravi Teja and the team joined the project, the character design was changed.

He jokingly recalled that Ravi Teja was initially worried that audiences might identify him as the villain. Ajay said, “He called me and said that he was scared because people might find out that he was the villain. We had a lot of fun discussing it.”

Ajay Ghosh praised director Shiva Nirvana for his writing and vision. He said the story had strong emotions connected to real life. According to him, a movie can have a huge budget and big visuals, but if the story does not touch the audience’s hearts, it will not work.

He said, “You can spend hundreds of crores and create huge visuals, but if the emotions do not connect with the audience, nothing will work. A good story can bring back the golden days of cinema.”

Ajay Ghosh also thanked Mythri Movie Makers and said the production house was like his mother organization. He recalled how Rangasthalam gave him recognition and confidence as an actor.

He praised Ravi Teja and said, “When you see Ravi Teja closely, you understand what kind of person he is. This Ravi Teja is different. I really like his nature, friendship and affection.”

Ajay also thanked the technicians, fight masters Ram-Lakshman and the entire team. He wished the producers and their families good health and success.

Finally, he once again bowed to the audience and congratulated the entire Irumudi team for the blockbuster success.
