Producers: Lenin Touched ₹100 Cr Mark

After nearly a decade, if there is a film that worked for Akhil Akkineni at the box office, it’s none other than “Lenin”. Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, the Mahabharatam-inspired storyline, characters and ideas have worked out big time. That led to huge success as the film collected almost ₹60+ crores gross in 10 days. However, the makers stated that Lenin has now scored a massive record.

According to the official update from the makers, Akhil’s Lenin has scored ₹100 crores gross from the box office. In the wake of films like Chennai Love Story, Srinivasa Mangapuram and Spiderman coming up, many thought that Akhil’s movie was not getting enough attention, but then the film continued getting decent collections, thus reaching the milestone. Also, the makers hosted more than three success meets ever since the film was released. That might have helped the film get more footfalls.

On the other hand, with this film touching the ₹100 crores grosser mark, as per the producer’s update, Akhil should not now rush into making a movie with a ₹100 crores budget, which is the usual thing being done by Telugu heroes. First, the young actor should consolidate his market at this valuation, and then move to the next.
