Akhil’s Lenin: Why No Promotions Yet?

Already a couple of songs from the movie have been released, and though they are not catchy in terms of the tunes, Bhagyashree Borse’s glamour has taken centre stage and won some attention. However, these days, when songs are not going viral, then the makers should promote the film more aggressively. Otherwise, the film won’t get the proper attention. With June 26th being the release date, why is Akhil’s Lenin still not being promoted?

Featuring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashree Bhorse in the leads, newcomer Muralikishore Abburu has carved out the mass action film Lenin. While the film was initially produced by Sithara Entertainment, it has Sreeleela in the lead, and she was later replaced. Guess what, by the time the film reached its fag end of production, even Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studio joined the movie as a co-producer. Latest reports are coming out that Nagarjuna is not happy with the final cut again, and hence he suggested some reshoots. With all of them happening, the film cannot reach the June 26th release date, and hence there are no promotions.

Well, though Nagarjuna wants to give the best output for Akhil, if the film misses the June 26th release, then from July there are many other big movies lining up for a release. July is the only month that has small films, and Akhil might get a slot there; however, if he misses that out, then August and September are completely ruled by biggies only. We have to see if they will announce the postponement of the film or not, but for, it looks like postponement is imminent.
