Of course, sometimes the success of a film makes star heroes take certain decisions, and that one decision would alter the course of their career. Now that “Lenin” has scored terrific at the box office, it’s time for Akhil Akkineni to take a good decision regarding his next. And it looks like one such thing has already happened without leaving the world any clue of it.

Director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who made films like Bangarraju and Soggade Chinni Nayana, wants to make another Sankranti release with the three heroes of the Akkineni clan together. He has already narrated the story to Nagarjuna and is awaiting to narrate the same to Naga Chaitanya and Akhil. After listening to the final story, both these young heroes are said to have rejected the script. Even Nagarjuna agreed with them and called off the film, as per reports.

After the success of Lenin, surely a lot of changes are likely to happen inside the Akkineni camp. Even Naga Chaitanya has seen similar success with Thandel and is awaiting to do magic with Dhootha 2 on OTT and a couple of other films. At this juncture, if these three are doing a multi-starrer movie, surely the content should be something greater than “Manam” but not something that’s routine and set in a rural backdrop.

So the idea of an Akkineni multi-starrer is on the back burner for now, and if some other director narrates an interesting story idea, then it will take off.
