Like how we see a faction of fans split between two heroes from the same family and fight on Twitter for supremacy, authority, and stardom, the virus has now reached the Akkineni camp heroes too. Right now, with Akhil Akkineni’s film “Lenin” turning out to be a blockbuster at the Box Office, a group has started discussions on who among the stepbrothers, Chay and Akhil, is the rightful heir to the Akkineni throne.

Many young Gen Z social media audiences are claiming that Akhil is the next big thing and heir apparent because he scored a blockbuster of ₹100 crore with Lenin. However, this is Akhil's first and only success, while his brother Naga Chaitanya has already seen many such blockbusters. Chay’s supporters started to claim how come almost 15 years of Chay’s solid establishment could be undermined by a youngster.

Well, in reality, whether it is Naga Chaitanya or Akhil, these are the days stars stay relevant only if they deliver back-to-back blockbusters, and even their flop films recover more than ₹100-200 crores easily from the box office. That level of consistency creates a legacy, and for that to happen, only ‘blockbusters’ are the answer. While Chay proved his mettle, Akhil is on the path; surely both would become the true heirs of the legacy- what’s the point in discussing it?
