He shared that he started losing hair at the age of 19-20, a period that was sincerely challenging for him. “For an actor, appearance plays a gigantic part in getting ventures. Losing hair at such a youthful age felt like a pianist losing his fingers,” he communicated. The battle influenced him profoundly, making him question his future within the industry.

Talking to Bollywood news, Akshaye compared his hair misfortune to a sportsman confronting a career-threatening harm. He clarified, “When you wake up and realize your body isn't the same any longer, it's unsettling. It's like a cricketer realizing he needs knee surgery, which might cost him one or two of a long time in his career. Similarly, for an actor, losing hair is heartbreaking since appearance is crucial in this field.”
