Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar has hit a rough patch in his career. After 'Sooryavanshi', none of his films succeeded at the box office. All his movies including 'Bell Bottom', 'Prithviraj', 'Selfiee', 'Ram Sethu', 'Culputli', Raksha Bandhan', 'Bachchan Pandey' and others turned out to be disasters. He is arriving with 'Oh My God 2' and the movie is making headlines with the number of censor cuts.

The CBFC gave the film an 'A' certificate and had more than 25 cuts in the movie. According to News18, the cuts include, "modified the entire portrayal pf the character Shiv ji and presented him as a devotee and messenger of God. Also added a dialogue 'Nandi mere bhakt… Jo agya prabhu," deleted of 'frontal nudity and suitably replaced with visual of Naga Sadhus' and removed the 'poster of Mood X condom on the billboard.' The document also revealed that OMG 2 has modified the mention of Ling and 'the same is not used in isolation but as Shivling or Shiv, only wherever applicable."

A source revealed, "The makers are not comfortable with these cuts as they believe that it'll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an 'A' certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages."

On the other hand, a priest from Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple asked for the deletion of scenes that were shot at the shrine. He said, "The censor board has given an 'A' certificate to the film Oh My God 2. This certification is reserved for films that have adult content. We demand that some scenes, which were filmed at the Mahakal temple, be removed as they might offend the religious sentiments of viewers. If our demand isn't met, we will launch protests across the country."
