Costliest Project: Rs 800 Cr for Allu Arjun film?

It is an established fact that Allu Arjun is currently working on one of the costliest projects in his career, and it is going to be directed by none other than Atlee. A new big-budget Indian film is in the making, bringing together top talent from across the country. Directed by Atlee and starring Allu Arjun, the film is planned as a solo release in 2027 and is set to be one of the most expensive Indian movies ever made, with a massive estimated budget of ₹750 to ₹800 crore.

Allu Arjun is expected to receive a fee of ₹150 to ₹160 crore, along with an additional ₹22 to ₹25 crore from back-end business deals. Director Atlee will also be paid ₹100 crore for leading the project.

The makers are investing heavily in visual effects, with a VFX budget of around ₹240 to ₹250 crore to ensure the film has world-class visuals. The production itself is expected to cost ₹200 crore, while remaining expenses, including promotions, logistics, and travel, are estimated at ₹100 crore.

Top actresses Deepika Padukone and Mrunal Thakur have been confirmed as the leading ladies. Rashmika Mandanna is also in discussions to join the cast.

With international shooting schedules and a plan to involve foreign VFX and stunt teams, immigration clearances and global logistics will play a big role in the production process.

This film aims to be a grand cinematic event and could set a new benchmark for Indian cinema on a global scale. But the real deal here is recovering this huge investment that is in place for this film.
