According to industry buzz, Superstar Allu Arjun and director Atlee’s Raaka is getting ready for a major schedule to commence in the middle of June. Along with Allu Arjun, Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Jim Sarbh, and Minnal Murali fame Malayalam actress Femina George are expected to join the shoot. After taking brief breaks in between, right now Bunny is reportedly gearing up to focus on this biggest film fully. Here comes an interesting talk now.
Many are wondering, with the likes of Deepika Padukone and other biggest stars taking part in the shoot, can Atlee finish the film in the stipulated time? Because Allu Arjun will give huge dates for sure, but not other stars. And that’s where the production costs shoot up. However, Atlee has a different way of planning things for Raaka. Usually, big-budget films first shoot with actors and later spend months completing visual effects and CGI work. But for Raaka, the team has spent nearly a year filming large-scale action sequences, VFX-heavy portions, and technical shots without requiring the lead actors on set.
Much of the complex CGI groundwork is reportedly already completed using green-screen technology and pre-visualised action blocks. In simple terms, using the already-made footage, they will be just shooting the actors now using virtual reality technology, and inserting the actors straight into CG sequences. Industry insiders believe Atlee has learned valuable lessons from the challenges faced during Jawan and is now executing a much more streamlined production strategy. What a smart plan anyway!
