Allu Arjun Reveals It Was Hard to Move on from Pushpa!

Allu Arjun, celebrated for his role, Pushpa, recently shared insights on detaching himself after dedicating nearly five years to the action drama. The actor revealed the challenges of moving on from such an impactful character.

In a conversation, Allu Arjun mentioned it took him around three weeks to fully transition from Pushpa Raj. He emphasized that he can only disconnect from a character when he feels the movie is complete. Although the characters influence him during shooting, he can move ahead after the project wraps up. For 'Pushpa,' shaving his hair and beard post-promotions marked his complete departure from the role.

Allu Arjun stated that he doesn't dwell on past roles once he moves forward. He remarked that life brings new challenges and opportunities, and "Pushpa is just one face. It's one beautiful face. It's not everything".

The 'Pushpa' series, helmed by Sukumar, tells the story of Pushpa Raj, a labourer who becomes a sandalwood smuggler, battling adversaries. The films feature Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil alongside Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun received his first National Award for Best Actor in 2021 for portraying Pushpa Raj. 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' which was released in December 2024.
