Pushpa 2 Eyes Japan After OG Struggles

Japan has slowly become a testing ground for Tollywood films. RRR did really well there, but not every movie hits. Take the recently released OG, it came to Japan and just didn’t click. Now, all eyes are on Pushpa 2: The Rule to see if it can pull off what others couldn’t.

The Japanese release is set for January 16 during Sankranti, and the announcement already has fans talking. This film has already made more than 1,800 crores worldwide, and everyone’s hoping it will make some waves in Japan too. The team is reportedly gearing up properly, leaving nothing to chance.

Allu Arjun, busy shooting with Atlee right now, is figuring out how much time he can spare for promotions in Japan. Back when Pushpa: The Rise released in Russia, he, Rashmika, and the producers went for the promotions, but it didn’t really make a huge impact. This time, with Pushpa 2, the global reach is bigger, so they’re planning to go all out.

Interestingly, director Sukumar has tied Japan into the story, which could help the film connect with audiences there. Rashmika is already familiar in Japan thanks to her clothing brand endorsements. If things go well, Allu Arjun might even plan future premieres there for his upcoming films, like AA22XA6. The Japanese chapter could become a regular stop for Tollywood’s big releases.
