Icon Star Allu Arjun's last film 'Pushpa: The Rise' arrived at the end of 2021. He did not have a single release in the past three years as he is occupied with 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' which will be released on 6th December. Despite that, the Allu hero paid 14 crores of income tax to the government. Apparently, he is the highest-income taxpayer in Tollywood.
In the list of Top 20 highest taxpayers in the country, Allu Arjun is the only Tollywood hero. Heroes who get massive remunerations and do multiple films are not above Allu Arjun which is quite shocking. Prabhas had blockbusters like 'Adipurush', 'Salaar' and 'Kalki 2898 AD' in the last year and his name was not on this list. Even Mahesh Babu who does a lot of brand endorsements and takes huge remuneration did not make it to the list.
This shows that they paid less income tax than Bunny. Thalapathy Vijay is the highest taxpayer in South India with 80 crores and Malayalam legend Mohanlal too paid 14 crores just like Allu Arjun. The highest tax-paying celebrity in India is Shah Rukh Khan who reportedly gave 92 crores while Vijay stood in the second place.
Salman Khan took the 3rd spot with 75 crores while senior actor Amitabh Bachchan paid 71 crores and took the 4th place. Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli took the 5th place with 66 crores in income tax. Celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar took the rest of the places in the Top 10 list.
