When Amala Akkineni married Akkineni Nagarjuna, she became stepmother to his six-year-old son, Naga Chaitanya. Over time, it’s clear she’s always treated him with the same love as her own son, Akhil. Even at both sons’ weddings, she was right there, taking charge, clicking pictures, laughing, enjoying the moments. Fans have always noticed how warm and caring she is toward her stepson.

In a recent interview, Amala opened up about how their bond grew. “Chaitanya was a young man when I really got to know him,” she said. She explained that things changed after he moved from Chennai to Hyderabad for college. “I was in touch before, sure, but I really got to know him when he came to Hyderabad,” she added.

She called him grounded and mature. “Lovely human being. Very responsible. Has maturity beyond his age. He never really went wrong and has always listened to his father. Always had his own thoughts and plans,” she said. You can really feel the pride and affection in her words.

On the work side, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for Vrushakarma, an action-packed, thrilling film, and the first look poster is already getting loads of attention. Meanwhile, younger brother Akhil is coming up with Lenin, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu. Looks like the whole family is busy, Nagarjuna is working on NAG100 too, though the final title isn’t fixed yet.
