Amala Akkineni’s life these days is like a quiet morning suddenly full of laughter. The Tollywood beauty and senior actress, last seen in Oke Okka Jeevita three years ago, seems happier focusing on her family than films. In a recent chat, she opened up about her daughters-in-law, Sobhita Dhulipala and Zainab, and how they’ve changed the energy at home. “I have wonderful daughters-in-law. They have good personalities. My life feels new because of them. Now I have a ‘girls’ circle’ in our house,” she said, smiling as if it still surprises her.
She joked about their busy schedules, saying it works perfectly. “Both my daughters-in-law are very busy, which is a good thing. Youth should be enthusiastic and creative. If they are busy, I will be busy with my own stuff. But when we have time, we just hang out and have fun. I am not a demanding mother-in-law… and I am not a demanding wife either,” she added with a little laugh. You can almost picture her teasing them while still loving every moment.
Amala also spoke about her sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, with pride. “They grew up to be wonderful young men. Nagarjuna loves them so much. I am strict about my responsibilities. I will never be careless with my children,” she said. Her words show a family that balances love, discipline, and freedom, and clearly, she takes her role seriously while keeping the atmosphere light and happy.
Her personal life has been peaceful lately. Married to Nagarjuna in 1992, she raised her sons and now enjoys their grown-up lives. Naga Chaitanya married Sobhita in 2024 and Akhil married Zainab in 2025, and Amala says the house feels lively and cheerful. “My life is peaceful and happy now,” she said.
