Amitabh Bachchan Was Once Asked to Leave a Film Set

During a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, Amitabh spoke about the criticism he faced when he was a new actor. He was interacting with Commonwealth Games 2026 gold medallists when one of them asked if he had also been scolded during the early part of his career.

Amitabh said that he was criticised many times when he started working in films. According to the actor, some people told him that he did not know how to act and even asked him to go home because he was too tall. At that time, such comments were difficult for him, but he continued to work hard.

The actor also explained that getting opportunities did not immediately solve his problems. Even after he started getting film roles, directors often corrected his acting and dialogue delivery. They would tell him how to stand, speak and perform a scene properly. Amitabh said that these corrections helped him improve slowly.

He also remembered an incident when he reached a film set late. Amitabh said that he was generally careful about being punctual, but on one occasion he arrived late for a shoot. At that time, he did not have his own car and reached the location in another person's vehicle.

When he arrived, the director was reportedly waiting outside the set. The director told him that the shooting had already been packed up and asked him to leave. Amitabh recalled the incident as one of the tough moments he faced during his early career.

Today, Amitabh Bachchan is considered one of the most respected actors in Indian cinema. His story shows that criticism and rejection do not always decide a person's future. His dedication, patience and willingness to learn helped him build an extraordinary career.
