Just when fans were still buzzing over Suriya's upcoming release Retro, set to drop this May 1, his next film tentatively titled Suriya45 is quietly building a strong cast. While Retro promises a nostalgic action-romance with Pooja Hegde, Suriya45 is shaping up to be a full-fledged family entertainer under the direction of Karthik Subbaraj, backed by Dream Warrior Pictures.

Trisha has already been locked in as the female lead, but the latest name to join the mix is Malayalam beauty Anagha Ravi. The actress, who’s been steadily gaining recognition in Kerala, confirmed her inclusion in the film through a subtle Instagram post, hinting at her excitement for her Kollywood debut. She’s said to be playing a key supporting role, adding fresh energy to a cast that already includes Yogi Babu, Natty, and Saathvika.

Anagha’s latest Malayalam film Alappuzha Gymkhana just released this week, keeping her in the limelight at home. But it was her emotional performance as Mammootty and Jyothika’s daughter in Kaathal that truly put her on the radar of filmmakers beyond Kerala. That performance, paired with her expressive screen presence, likely sealed the deal for her entry into Tamil cinema alongside a star like Suriya.

While Retro is in the final stages of post-production and gearing up for a summer splash, Suriya45 is still shooting, but clearly assembling all the right pieces.
