After Avatar 3, Ananya Panday Gets Crushed At BO

Despite huge expectations and star power, popular heroine Ananya Panday’s latest theatrical outing Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Karthik Aryan, struggled badly at the box office. Struggle is a small word, as the film got crushed big time like Avatar 3: Fire and Ash. Here’s the reason.

The extraordinary success of Dhurandhar at the box office, as it crossed the ₹1000 crore mark at the global box office, is not only overwhelming but also killing the prospects of other films too. Two big films that have hit the marquee in December with huge expectations, including Avatar 3 and Ananya Panday’s movie, have seen the same result.

Opening with a modest ₹7.75 crore and collecting a rough total of over ₹21 crores in the Christmas weekend, Ananya’s Tu Meri.. has fallen flat, as the First Monday’s collection dipped to less than ₹2 crore, while Dhurandhar collected over ₹12 crores on its 24th day at the Box Office.

Even James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash collected only ₹165 crores so far in India from all the languages and slowed down in almost all the sectors. That shows how Dhurandhar is doing more than well, while these two films got shattered.

In case of absence of a movie like Dhurandhar, surely the chances of Avatar 3 and even Tu Meri.. would have been different, predict analysts.
