"I am wearing saree created by Shivaji": Anasuya

Popular anchor and actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is once again in the news. This time it is because of a saree related controversy and also a serious cyber crime case. Recently a video of Anasuya wearing a saree went viral on social media. A TV channel gave a caption saying she started wearing sarees because of Shivaji. This caption made Anasuya angry again.

Anasuya did not stay silent. She reacted strongly and gave a counter in her own style. She wrote "Wrong wrong! The heading should say Anasuya is wearing a saree created by Shivaji right because before that we were not wearing sarees" She used a serious tone and response quickly gained attention.

It is a known fact that Shivaji comments on women's dresses and later Anasuya's response that stood in headlines for several days.

At the same time another serious issue related to Anasuya came into the spotlight. Cyberabad police arrested two people for posting abusive and harmful content against her online. The actress had filed a complaint saying that since December 2025 many social media accounts were targeting her with insulting and vulgar comments.

Police investigation found one accused running an Instagram account and even sharing a fake AI video about her. Another person posted abusive comments on YouTube after watching her videos. Both were taken into custody and their devices were seized for further investigation. Officials also warned people to behave responsibly online. They said sharing offensive content can lead to serious punishment.
