Television anchor Suma Kanakala recently revealed a story about actor Prabhas and his long-term support for an old age home in Khammam, Telangana.
The discussion started when a fan asked Suma to speak about Prabhas in the comment section of one of her social media posts. Responding to the question, Suma shared that a few years ago, she was involved in building an old age home in Khammam. At that time, several celebrities came forward to help financially. Among them were Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas, who contributed generously to complete the construction.
What stood out the most in Suma’s message was what happened after the old age home was completed. She revealed that Prabhas did not stop his support once the building was ready. Instead, he has been sending money every month to help with the daily needs of the elderly living there. Suma described this kind of long-term commitment as very rare in the film industry and praised Prabhas for his kind heart.
She also mentioned that the initiative received support through the “Memu Saitham” show and thanked Lakshmi Manchu for her involvement. Suma’s words quickly gained attention online, with many fans appreciating Prabhas for his consistent and silent charity work.
Earlier, Suma’s husband Rajeev Kanakala had also spoken about this on a podcast. He shared that filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli had contributed as well, but Prabhas continues to donate regularly even today. Rajeev called this gesture truly admirable.
On the work front, Prabhas was last seen in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD. He will next appear in The Raja Saab, set to release for Sankranthi 2026. He is also working on Fauzi and Spirit.
