Anil Ravipudi To Ditch His Fav Composer?

Ace director Anil Ravipudi is clearly in a strong phase. Back-to-back hits, solid box office pull, and now quietly working on his next film’s script, which features Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram in the leads. But here’s where things get interesting. For his last two films, Ravipudi worked with Bheems Ceciroleo. And to be fair, the combo delivered. Songs clicked big time. They added real value to the films and helped the overall reach. Now reports are doing the rounds that this combo might break up.
There seems to be a small concern for Anil Ravipudi, actually. While the songs worked, the background score of the last film reportedly didn’t fully satisfy the director. Even Bheems isn’t exactly in a smooth phase right now. Funky, which was released in February with Vishwak Sen, brought some criticism his way. And in Dacoit, the background score was reportedly handled by another musician at the last minute, who is now getting noticed for his work. Even in terms of songs, apart from Rubaru, the album hasn’t made much noise.
That’s one side of the story. The other side? Bheems is quoting a hefty price. From their first collaboration to now, his market has gone up sharply. The composer is said to be quoting close to ₹4 crore. That’s a big jump. Now, if we combine both factors, creative dissatisfaction (at least partially) and increased remuneration, it looks like the director is not interested in the combo anymore.
Buzz is that the team has already initiated talks with a Tamil composer, someone who is quoting nearly ₹1 crore less and is known for spending time on background scores and delivering consistent output. That said, nothing is locked yet. Ravipudi has always been someone with a strong sense of music. He backs his instinct more than names. So for him, it’s more about output than combinations.
