Is #VenkyAnil Remake Of Malayalm Film?

Already, Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram have started to shoot for their upcoming project, which is being directed by Sankranthi hit-maker Anil Ravipudi. Ever since the first look of Kalyanram from this film was out, there have been speculations that the film is actually a remake of a superhit Malayalam film that was released in 2024.

There was a Malayalam film titled “Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil” which was released in 2024, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Anaswara Rajan and Nikhila Vimal in the lead roles. In fact, while Prithviraj loves one girl, she gets engaged to the other hero, Basil Joseph, and Basil’s ex now gets engaged to Prithviraj. How they will solve the issues with their own lovers, and get the girl engaged to the other hero back, is the rest of the story.

Going by the Muhurat event’s fun video, where Kriti Shetty stands with Venky, and Keerthy stands with Kalyan Ram, and gets changed later, it looks like Anil Ravipudi’s new film is infact a remake of that Malayalam film. However, heroine Keerthy Suresh clarified to a Malayalam media house that they are not doing any remake movie, but only a straight Telugu film with a new storyline.

Well, earlier it was rumoured that Anil Ravipudi would be remaking ‘Bro Daddy’ movie, and now this one. However, the director hasn’t remade or used any such storylines so far.
