Is 'Animal' Fight Inspired From A Malayalam Film?
10 days after the film got released, a few netizens are coming out saying that it is inspired by a Malayalam film named 'Nayakan' which came out in 2010.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' crossed the 700 crores mark and it is racing towards the 1000 crore mark which is not far from reach. One of the main highlights of the movie is definitely the pre-interval scene where Ranbir kills hundreds of people. It is one of the most violent sequences ever witnessed in Indian cinema.
Ranbir who plays the role of Ranvijay Singh kills the masked men with an axe by taking it out from the showcase on the wall. The 'Arjan Vailley' song in the background paired with the massive bloodshed onscreen made for one of the biggest highlights in this movie. 10 days after the film got released, a few netizens are coming out saying that it is inspired by a Malayalam film named 'Nayakan' which came out in 2010.
Indrajit Sukumaran is the hero of this movie which is about a son who tries to avenge the death of his family. The climax fight in this film where the hero goes into the den of the villain and kills them looks quite similar to the interval scene in 'Animal'.
'Nayakan' was a good hit in Kerala but it was neither dubbed nor remade in other Indian languages. Interestingly, both these movies are about avenging the attacks on their fathers. The social media is filled with videos displaying both these scenes side by side. 'Nayakan' is also not original as it was inspired by Hollywood. Nonetheless, 'Animal' is creating a tsunami with the collections and it is creating even bigger havoc with the film's content.
