Naga Vamsi Revisits Agnyaathavasi Wounds!

The other day, Hyderabad crowds witnessed the massive musical wave of talented composer Anirudh as thousands attended his latest live-in concert in the city. At the venue, almost all of the Telugu songs and the Telugu version of superhit Tamil songs that the composer-singer had delivered earlier were performed. Among them, the songs of Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi are a rage, we have to say, going by the number of reels that came out from the event, with the live singing of the songs.

In the wake of this, producer Naga Vamsi responded to the performance of Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi inside theatres when it was released back in 2018. As the film’s songs are getting an extremely terrific reception at Anirudh’s concert last night, Vamsi said, “Been seeing 100s of reels from the Anirudh concert for #Agnyaathavaasi on my timeline since yesterday. Funny how the same songs didn’t really connect with the audience or trade back in 2017… We were truly surprised by the way they were received back then”, breaking the ice.

Not stopping there, Vamsi acknowledged that #GaaliVaaluga, #BaitikochiChuste & #DhagaDhagaMane are among Anirudh’s finest works, and added that “Gen Z kids have gone all in on it”. He feels that some music just takes time to settle; this one only kept growing, as he showered praises on the songs. Back then, Vamsi was deeply upset that Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi, carved out by his guru Trivikram, flopped at the box office. That way, he visited the old wounds while feeling proud of the creations.
