Is Anirudh Losing Midas Touch?
The issue has primarily been with the fact that Anirudh has not been taking good care of the sound versions of his recent films.;
There was once a time when music Director Anirudh Ravichander used to single handedly save many films on his own. He had the reputation of being the most consistent music composer in Indian cinema as well.
However, the quality of music that is being produced by Anirudh in the recent past has been going down almost consecutively. It has been a really long time since he delivered unanimou audio album and an exhilarating audio track for his films.
The issue has primarily been with the fact that Anirudh has not been taking good care of the sound versions of his recent films.
For instance, we have the recent works of Anirudh, which happened to be Kingdom and Coolie. Strangely, neither of these films have insanely impeccable audio tracks that are usually expected from Anirudh Ravichander.
He is a master of composing haunting background-score that will stay with the audience for many days, even after watching the film. This was last observed with NTRs Devara. But after that, there has not been a single body of work from Anirudh that has matched the standard.
It really needs to be said that Anirudh might be taking things slightly, or whether he might be getting mediocre products that do not elevate his background score.
But when great things are expected from a young and talented technician like Anirudh, he is expected to deliver a world-class output like he had been doing in the past. All we can hope is that this insanely talented music director will regain his lost form and come up with solid stuff in the future.
