Anirudh is the one director for whom the producers are willing to spend crores of money. He is the top music composer in the South right now and he has been elevating the films with his terrific music over the past few years now. His craze grew multifold after 'Jailer' as his songs and BGM are regarded as the main reasons for the film's success. His music played a vital role in SRK's 'Jawan' too which crossed the 1000 crore mark already.

Over the past few years, Anirudh has been very consistent and showcased his versatility by giving music to movies from different genres. His love songs have a huge fanbase and he is parallel to none when it comes to mass songs and pulsating background scores. Talking to 'Film Companion', Anirudh revealed how directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson and Atlee use him.

During the time of 'Jailer', Nelson asked only one song which is a family track. Anirudh worked only on that but after looking at the rough cut, Anirudh found a way to insert two more songs which are 'Tiger Ka Hukum' and 'Kaavala'. Anirudh found the word 'Hukum' very interesting as Rajni said it quite stylishly. All three songs have become chartbusters and the 'Hukum' song elevated the entire movie. Nelson gave complete freedom to Anirudh and let him make the decisions.

Coming to Lokesh Kanagaraj, he never listened to Anirudh's music and watched everything only after the final draft was ready. He kept his belief in Anirudh and went ahead with his own work. Coming to Atlee, Anirudh said that the 'Bigil' director introduces us to his world and asks what he wants for the situation but lets Anirudh decide everything else. This way, Anirudh indirectly indicated that he delivers his best when he is given ample freedom. The makers of 'Devara' and '#VD14' need to understand this and let the young sensation work his magic without any restrictions.
