What Started With a Song Ended in a Shocking Killing

The murder of Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan has taken a new turn. Police investigating the case believe that a song made by the singer may have played an important role in the incident. Baliyan was shot dead outside a gym in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, on August 26.

According to the police, the case may be connected to old gang-related tensions. Investigators said that Baliyan had made a Haryanvi song containing lines about shooting someone in court. Police believe that members linked to gangster Jitender Maan, also known as Gogi, were unhappy with the song.

The song was reportedly seen as an insult to the gang. Police said that some people had asked Baliyan not to make or promote such a song. However, he did not agree to their demand. The song later became associated with rival gangster Tillu Tajpuria, which is believed to have increased the tension.

Police said the issue was later discussed and apparently cleared. However, the people involved allegedly continued to hold a grudge against the singer. Investigators believe that this old dispute may have been one of the reasons behind the attack on August 26.

The investigation also led police to two suspected shooters, identified as Mohit, 22, and Sumit, 24, from Haryana. Police said the suspects opened fire when officers tried to stop their motorcycle during checking in the early hours of August 31.

The suspects reportedly escaped towards Kairana but were later surrounded by police teams. A gunfight followed, during which two police personnel were injured. The two suspects were also seriously injured and later died while in police custody, according to officials.

Police further said that the suspects had arrived in Shamli several days before the murder. They reportedly stayed at a local hotel, where investigators checked CCTV footage and identification records.

Officials have also named Rahul alias Bhola, a resident of Sonipat, as an alleged mastermind in the case. Police believe he coordinated the operation using Snapchat. He is wanted in Haryana, and authorities have announced a reward for information leading to his arrest.

The investigation is still continuing, and police are examining the possible links between the singer's song, gang rivalry and the murder.
