ANR's Films Re-Release: Tickets Available For Free

This initiative not only celebrates ANR’s remarkable contributions to Telugu cinema but also aims to introduce his legacy to new generations.

Annapurna Studios, in partnership with the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR Inox, is commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) with a special re-release of 10 of his classic films.

From September 20th to 22nd, seven of these films will be screened for free in select theatres across cities including Vizag, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bhimavaram, and Hyderabad. Devadasu, Maya Bazar, Bharya Bharthalu, Sudigundaalu, Doctor Chakravarthy, Prem Nagar, Premabhishekam, and Manam are the films that are made available for free for the audience.

Sri Rama, Saptagiri, Venkata Swarna, Keerthana, NVR Velrams, Mahalakshmi, and Shanti, are the theatres selected to experience ANR's timeless performances on the big screen.

This initiative not only celebrates ANR’s remarkable contributions to Telugu cinema but also aims to introduce his legacy to new generations. Tickets for these movies are now available in major cities.

Among 4 legends and Dada Saheb awardees, Raj Kapoor, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), Mohammed Rafi, and Tapan Sinha turn 100 this year. However, only ANR is the only actor who saved negatives/prints of his movies at his own cost in those days at NFDC.

ANR believed that film is forever and should be available for generations to come. Fortunately, the audience of this generation are going to witness the classics of ANR in cinemas.
