Will Anupama Make The Same Mistake As Keerthy & Anushka?
Getting a super hit movie is quite difficult but maintaining the same stardom after that success is tougher than anyone thinks.
Getting a super hit movie is quite difficult but maintaining the same stardom after that success is tougher than anyone thinks. We see heroines gaining huge craze with just one film but their script selection after that takes a toll on their careers. We have seen this happen with actresses like Keerthy Suresh, Krithi Shetty and others.
After 'Uppena', Krithi Shetty's wrong choices made her career almost drown. Keerthy Suresh won a lot of appreciation and laurels for 'Mahanati'. But she selected female-centric films like 'Penguin', 'Good Luck Sakhi', 'Miss India', 'Saani Kayidham' and others. They seriously affected her career in Tollywood. Despite having hits like 'Dasara' and 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', she is yet to get any big offers in recent times.
Even Sreeleela who was the most happening actress in Telugu last year has no other project in hand barring 'Ustaad Bhagar Singh'. Star heroine Anushka Shetty gained nationwide fame with 'Baahubali' but she did films like 'Size Zero', 'Nishabdam' along with cameos in flicks like 'Sye Raa' and 'Oopiri'. She is rarely acting in films these days. Heroine-oriented films often make actresses go far away from regular big projects. This happened in Bollywood too with beauties like Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. Nayanthara is the only exception in this case.
Anupama Parameswaran got a huge blockbuster in the form of 'Tillu Sqaure'. She made a stellar comeback after a few flops and showed her glamorous side. But she is picking concept-based films like 'Octopus', 'Paradha' and another Tamil film by AR Jeeva. People are now hoping that Anupama doesn't make the same mistake as Anushka and Keerthy Suresh and strike a balance between commercial and heroine-oriented movies like the lady superstar.
