AP Govt approves extra shows and hiked ticket prices for Kalki 2898 AD

The highly anticipated dystopian sci-fi film " Kalki 2898 AD is set to hit theaters on June 27. This epic features prominent actors like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.

Ahead of the film's release, the Andhra Pradesh government has approved additional shows and increased ticket prices. There will be a ₹75 hike for single-screen tickets and a ₹125 hike for multiplex tickets, applicable for two weeks from the release date. The price increase is in response to a request from producer Aswini Dutt due to the movie's classification as a 'Super High Budget Film'.

The government order will allow up to five shows a day, aiming to capitalize on the film's high demand. This move is expected to significantly boost the film's revenue during its opening week.

"Kalki 2898 AD" is generating considerable buzz and is expected to perform exceptionally well at the box office. With its star-studded cast and intriguing plot, it promises to be a major hit. The film will also have its US premiere on June 26 a day before its official release in India. Fans are eagerly waiting for what is anticipated to be a cinematic spectacle.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the story follows Bhairava (played by Prabhas), a bounty hunter, and SUM-80 (played by Deepika Padukone), a pregnant woman on the run. Their journey intersects with a vengeful Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) and the ambitious Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan). The film’s backdrop includes a dried-up Ganges, the rebel hideout Shambala and the resource-rich Complex.
