The promotional blitzkrieg for tomorrow’s (April 17) releases has officially come to an end. Every movie team pushed as hard as they could, as some went all out, some played it safe. Now, it’s purely about what works on the big screen.

Among the lot, Kiran Abbavaram’s production venture, Thimmarajupalli TV, clearly stood out in terms of promotions, as the hero didn’t hold back. From events to interviews to constant social media activity, the film was everywhere. And the grand premiere at Prasad's Big Screen for the entire team wrapped up the campaign on a strong note. For a small film, this level of push is impressive.

Another talented hero, Tiruveer’s Papam Pratap team, also went all in, literally grinding over the last two weeks to grab attention. Backed by ETV Win, the film had solid promotional support. Interestingly, the team even revealed a key twist on social media at the last minute. Though it's a risky move, but clearly aimed at boosting the last-minute buzz.

On the other side, the Malayalam dubbed film, Tovino Thomas’ Pallichattambi is entering the race with almost zero noise. There’s hardly any buzz around it as of now and going by the religions content, it looks like the film will get some attention.

Naga Shaurya’s Bad Boy Karthik is also releasing alongside, but the promotions have been relatively low-key. The trailer and pre-release event didn’t really create any expectations. Except for this movie, all other movies had huge expectations through promotions. And now it’s for the audience to decide.

Meanwhile, in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla has already started to get huge attention, but we have to see how the reception will be. At the same time, Hollywood film, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, a horror flick, is also getting attention in A-centres.
