At a time when the superhero movies are failing to hit the mark, DC has decided to test their luck with 'Aquaman'. Their last outing 'Flash' was a huge disaster but this time they are hopeful that a star like Jason Mamoa will bring the crowds into theatres as he turns into the King of Atlantis once again.

The trailer was released recently and it definitely explains the complete story. It shows the conflict points and the narration pattern as well. Yahya Abdu Mateen II as Black Manta is a perfect choice and he looks menacing. Jason Mamoa has the built to make this believable but the makers added some humor in his character too which makes matters entertaining. Apart from Mamoa and Yahya, the important cast members like Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Willem Dafoe, and Dolph Lundgren were showcased in the trailer as well. They reprise their original roles while Amber Heard is no longer a part of the movie.

The action looks thrilling and the visuals offer a lot of promise though some shots look a bit too artificial. The trailer definitely raises a lot of expectations and DC lovers have pinned a lot of hopes on this flick which is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 20th December. With a lot of big Indian releases in December, 'Aquaman & Lost Kingdom' will pose a serious threat to their box office prospects too. Let us wait and see what happens.
