I am an actor, not a hero - Rana

Update: 2017-07-20 10:22 GMT
Rana Daggubati is one man who made a name for himself as an actor rather than a hero in his 8 years of career. He acted in very less number of films but he left an impact as Bhalladeva from Baahubali, as a stage artist in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and now he is coming as a ruthless politician, Jogendra in his new movie, Nene Raju Nene Mantri, directed by Teja.

For this movie, the actor is promoting in new ways and for that he is using the Augmented Reality app developed by Mani Shankar and his team. With this, app all you have to do is, point it at the marker in the theatre and then you will unlock the 3D hologram of the actors like Rana, Kajal in front of you. This Augmented Reality promotion is first of it's kind for Telugu Cinema and the actor is confident that even the movie will be as interesting as this new promotional equipment.

Rana said, " I believe in Nene Raju Nene Mantri, as much as my director Teja believes it. I think it will work big at the box office. Teja used to have all the answers for every question I and my father, Suresh Babu shouted at him and that clarity has led us to go with the subject and make the movie, eventually. The story has human emotions that will arrest you and I'm confident that we haven't seen such strong films in Telugu Cinema, lately. A normal farmer, Jogendra has to enter the system due to the web created by some cruel politicians and how he managed to win them or did he change himself is the story. The story is more about the journey of this character than just a heroic tale. I want to be known as an actor and not a hero."

Before this movie, 3D Augmented Reality is used by Modi and Rajnikanth for their promotions. Modi used it in UP elections and Rajni used it in the first look unveiling program of his movie, 2.0.
