Telugu producer Srinivasa Reddy, who is busy wrapping up upcoming 3D romantic-comedy "Vasthavam", feels that 3D films can draw the masses to the theatres provided they are presented with good content.
"The 3D films have always had good market and will continue to have one as long as we substantiate with good content. These types of films don't always guarantee success but the failure rate is minimal because they usually tend to draw masses to the theatres," Reddy told IANS.
"Vasthavam" is directed by Satya Reddy and it features Krishnudu, Rishi and Bhushan in the lead roles. Divya, Gurleen Chopra and Anjana are the playing the female lead.
Other members of the cast include Posani Krishna Murali, Chandra Mohan, M.S. Narayana, Nala Venu and Ranjitha.
"We're making the film in 3D because there is good amount of fantasy in it. We decided if done in 3D, the fantasy part will be a visual treat. We are taking a calculated risk but are quite confident about our product," Reddy said.
"We have already completed the first schedule of the shooting and will start with the second from first week of March," he added.
Praveen Immadi has been roped in as the music composer for the film.
