'RRR' is undoubtedly the most prestigious project in India right now. It is a multi-starrer that has both Ram Charan and NTR playing the leads. There are a lot of expectations on this movie and the trailer made the audience awestruck. They are hoping to witness Hollywood level visuals on the Indian screen with Rajamouli's film.
The film was supposed to hit the screen on 7th January but the makers confirmed the postponement by citing problems such as ticket rates, curfew in various states due to Omicron virus spread and others. The film was made on a budget of over 450 crores and with another 20 crores spent on the promotions, the makers took out over 470 crores from their pockets for this film. After the announcement of new release date, the team has to promote the film once again which will cost them even more.
On top of it, a lot of distributors in the AP region have asked the producer to reduce the buying price by 30% due to the reduction of ticket rates by the government. Sources say that it leads to an over 50% reduction in profits and producer DVV Danayya will be facing huge losses. Coming to the North market, the team has already made a deal with a big banner and sold the entire rights. Due to the rise in Omicron cases, the theatre occupancy is restricted to 50% and it is the main reason behind Rajamouli delaying the release.
Apart from these, the interests which are piling up on the producer from the past couple of years is becoming a huge burden. Insiders say that there is a chance that 'RRR' can be postponed all the way to August. Guess movie lovers have to wait for a long time before witnessing a visual wonder. Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Sita in this film while Ajay Devgn will appear in a brief role. Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, 'RRR' has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others doing key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which was delayed multiple times already.
