A Huge Embarrassment For Bollywood Star Hero!

Update: 2022-07-26 12:39 GMT
We have been hearing a lot about shows getting canceled for movies like 'Shabhaash Mithu', 'Dhaakad' and others. But most of them were female-centric films or concept-based movies that may not have the capacity to drag the audience into theatres. But what if the same thing happens to a star hero's film?

Handsome hero Ranbir Kapoor made a comeback onto the big screen last weekend with 'Shamshera'. It is a high-budget film produced by Yash Raj Studious and directed by Karan Malhotra. The film arrived with humongous expectations and Ranbir promoted the film all over the nation. While the bookings were very encouraging, the whole mood turned instantly as soon as the film was released. Reviews bashed the film left right and center. Some even went on to say that 'Shamshera' is 'Thugs Of Hindusthan' level bad.

The movie got 10.24 crores on the first day but it instantly fell from the second day itself. Trade pundits are suggesting that the movie may not get more than 50-60 crores in its lifetime. Also, there is more than a 70% drop in the collections on Day4 as the amount it earned on Monday is just 4 crores. Apparently, a lot of shows are getting canceled since the bookings are literally zero. Considering the budgets involved, the movie is going to face heavy losses. Ranbir is reportedly worrying that the effect of 'Shamshera' will be felt on his upcoming gigantic release 'Brahmastra' which is arriving on September 9th.
