Aadi entered Tollywood as a heir to versatile actor Sai Kumar. Even though his first two films fared decently at the box office, he suffered continuous failures because of the wrong selection of stories. He is awaiting his new release 'Samanthakamani' which is hitting the screens on this Friday. He is confident on the success of the film. He revealed about a drastic change occured in the suffix of his name.
He is said that "Present generation Telugu audience are not showing any interest if we come up with routine films. So, everybody is looking for new stories. If I like the story, I'll be always ready to act. Not just me, but all the young heroes are ready now. That's the reason why I have done 'Samanthakamani'. Three other heroes acted with me and senior actor Rajendra Prasad garu also played a key role in this film. Everybody has the scope to display their acting skills in the film."
Aadi revealed an interesting thing about his name when he was asked why he has changed his name now. He said that "My name used to be diplayed in the title credits as 'Aadi'... or 'Aadi Pudipeddi' till now. When the director came to me and said that - 'Your name has become too short'.. I told him to add Saikumar. When I added my father's name.. I liked it. Then I made up my mind that my dad should be beside my name." Aadi has become 'Aadi Saikumar' from 'Samanthakamani' like this.
