After a debacle like 'Thugs Of Hindustan', Bollywood's perfectionist took a long gap before starting 'Laal Singh Chadda'. This emotional and comedy-drama is an adaptation of 'Forrest Gump' featuring Tom Hanks in the lead.

This classic Hollywood project was released in 1994. 'Laal Singh Chadda' has been in the making for a long time and Kareena Kapoor Khan is the heroine while Tollywood young hero Naga Chaitanya played a key role.

The makers announced that the film will be hitting the big screens on 14th April 2022. Since 'KGF – Chapter 2' is releasing on the same date, they decided to postpone the film and made it clear that it would arrive on 11th August 2022.

In the recently released official statement, they wrote, ''This is to announce that our film Laal Singh Chadda, will not be releasing on 14th April as planned. This is because we are unable to complete the film in time. The film will now be releasing on 11th August in theatres worldwide.''

Aamir Khan and team thanked the team of 'Adipurush' as they said, ''We would like to thank Mr.Bhushan Kumar, T Series, Om Raut and the entire team of Adipurush from the bottom of our hearts.

We would like to thank them for being so helpful and understanding, and for shifting the release date of their much-awaited, Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, so that Laal Singh Chaddha can come on 11th Aug 2022.''

This means that fans of Prabhas had to wait for longer to witness their matinee idol as Lord Ram in this epic mythological drama.
