Selfish Aamir Plays A Safe Game

Bollywood's star hero Aamir Khan is currently busy filming his next film Laal Singh Chaddha, which is an official remake of 1994 English film Forrest Gump. Meanwhile, he now stated that he is rejoining the project Mogul, which he decided to opt-out from, last year. Mogul is the biopic of T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar and it is being directed by Subhash Kapoor.

Aamir signed the film in early 2018 but walked out of it after #MeToo allegations made on Subhash Kapoor. But he reversed his decision now and joined back the project as lead actor and producer. He stated that top film body Indian Film And Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) asked him to rejoin the project and after thinking a lot about it, he has taken the decision.

But it looks like the actor took this decision as he doesn't have any solid film offers. His last film Thugs of Hindostan bombed at the box office and proved that Aamir cannot pull off a film which has no content. The Forrest Gump remake will be a drama and it might not be connected to all the audience. Mogul is a biopic of a popular celebrity and it will generate a heavy buzz right from the filming stages. Thus, it will be a safe project for Aamir to mint money at the box office.

Why would he reverse his stand on a decision just by reading a letter? It definitely seems that the actor is being selfish and wants to sustain his stardom by acting in this biopic.
