Kamal Haasan is one of the best actors in the country who went on to evolve as an actor with every film over the years. He had appeared in more than 200 films across the languages and scaled new heights as an actor. Recently, he ventured into politics too.

Now Universal Hero Kamal Haasan is all set to embark on a new journey to lend a helping hand to the Handlooms by endorsing Khaddar, a natural fibre cloth. The 'Uttama Villain' is going to introduce Khaddar to the western world through his fashion brand. With a short video, he announced his entry into the clothing business.

It has been widely reported that Kamal Haasan found interest in Khaddar dress after he met a costume designer Amrutha who hails from Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema region. Having associated with the Khaddar dress Kamal Haasan had decided to help the handlooms reach the international stage.

One more reason to endorse Khaddar reportedly is that during the election campaign, Kamal Haasan promised to help weavers in Kanchipuram. To see that the weavers get the required support, Kamla Haasan had come forward to endorse the handlooms.

In a tweet, Kamal Haasan had shared a 1:22-minute long video that shows how a variety of dresses can be weaved with Khaddar. Donned in a suit, Kamal Haasan takes the hand of a weaver and places it near his eyes as a token of thanking him for the dress. With this, Kamal wants to bust the opinion that Khaddar means only white and white dress.' Our weavers chance to loom large. Dear West, follow the thread it will reach you to our history. Bravo khaddar says KHHK !!' his tweet reads.
