'Acharya' Falls Behind In The Advance Booking List!

Update: 2022-04-30 09:09 GMT
Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' is running in theatres right now with below-average reports. The film did not reach the expectations and there is no denying this fact. Despite having Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead and Mega Power star Ram Charan playing a special role, the film never created a huge hype compared to the other star hero films in recent times.

The team of 'Acharya' did all they could in terms of promotions. They attended multiple press meets, gave a lot of special interviews individually and as a team, Chiru had a special interaction with young directors, organized a grand pre-release event and applied many other promotional strategies. Despite all their efforts, the film's hype and the buzz wasn't as expected.

If we look at the list of advance booking gross on the first day in Hyderabad for recent big Telugu releases, 'Acharya' stands in the last place. According to reports, 'RRR' earned 9.5 crores with advance bookings in Hyderabad thereby standing in the first place. The next in the list is 'Bheemla Nayak' with a gross of 6.30 crores and it is followed by 'Radhe Shyam' which got 6.21 crores. Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' stood next in the line by getting 6.14 crores through advance bookings on Day1 in Hyderabad.

We have to understand that films like 'Bheemla Nayak', 'Radhe Shyam' and 'Pushpa' had no hike in ticket prices. Coming to 'Acharya', all it could manage was to get 4.9 crores on the first day in Hyderabad through advance bookings. This explains how the audience were skeptical about the film before its release. Most of them wanted to wait for the film to hit the screens and reviews to come out so that they could decide whether to book the tickets or not. With the film getting a negative talk, we need to wait and see how much it collects in the coming days.

Produced by Matinee Entertainments banner, Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha Konidela is presenting this film. There are a lot of noted artists in this project which takes place in a fictional village named Dharmasthali. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Thirunavikkarasu is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor.
