With a noble cause of helping the rural people in Tamil Nadu by helping the children with education, Tamil actor Suriya had started Agaram Foundation in 2006, and under the foundation, he had helped a lot of students to pursue their education. The talented actor had done it yet again.
As a bid to help the tribal students with their education, Suriya and his wife Jyothika met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to trust in his presence. The cheque was given on the behalf of 2D Entertainments, his production house.
The cheque was presented to retired Justice Chandru and the Pazhangudi Irular Trust members. Taking to Twitter, the 2D entertainments shared the pictures of Suriya and Jyothika meeting the dignitaries to hand over the cheque for the noble cause.
"Rs. 1Cr was donated towards the welfare of the Irula Tribe, by @Suriya_offl Sir & #Jyotika Maâam on behalf of 2D in the presence of our Hon'ble Chief Minister of TN @mkstalin the cheque was handed over to Justice K. Chandru (Retd) & members of Pazhangudi Irula Trust," the production house tweeted.
In his upcoming film Jai Bhim, Suriya will be seen as a lawyer who fights for the justice of tribal women. Colliding with this, the amount of Rs 1 crore was donated for the education of students who hail from the Irular community.
