Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been going through a tough time for some with the much-talked-about money laundering case. She was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate officials a few times and she was also named in the charge sheet as per the information.
Now Jacqueline Fernandez got a big relief as she was granted bail in the case by a Delhi court. The bail was granted on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and one surety. The court gave the orders after hearing a petition filed by the actor.
Saying that the charge sheet in the case was already filed and there is no need for her custody in the case Jacqueline Fernandez moved the court. Hearing the petition a few days back the court extended the protection for the actress till Tuesday.
Reports say that the court asked the ED why the actress was not arrested while the other accused were arrested and sent to jail. Mentioning that Lookout Circular (LOC) was issued for the actress in the past the special court asked what stopped the central agency from arresting the actress in the case.
Jacqueline Fernandez has been under the scanner of the ED in connection with the money laundering case after the investigating officers found that the actress has ties with conman Sukesh. She met the conman in prison and received luxury gifts from Sukesh Chandrashekar including designer handbags and pets as per the information.
The investigation officers earlier alleged that Jacqueline Fernandez was well aware of Sukesh's background and she stayed in touch with him despite all this.
