The weekend of November 9th to 11th, saw release of four films. All these four have popular actors in lead roles and all seem to be highly important.
Adirindi, is important for Vijay, as he wants to build on the interest his films are generating all over South India. Even though it released three weeks later to the original Tamil Cinema, Mersal release, the movie sustained interest of the people. It managed to bring out audience to the theatres. It collected a share of 1.69 crores on first day and that is highest for a Vijay dub movie. It is still going strong even though three other movies are released.
Okkadu Migiladu continues Manoj Manchus woes at the box office. He is a good actor and has some following in he youth but with bad films he lost a lot of that. This movie even though has some good intentions and story, the making made it look terrible and even audience too are not giving it a chance.
Vishal is back with Detective movie this year. His previous films did not do that well, but Detective got some positive reviews but the collections are not upto that standard.
Sundeep Kishan's C/O Surya, got positive reviews and collections are improving with each day as word of mouth is encouraging.
Next week, on 17th November there are few more films lined up for release and we have to see if at least one of them can get bigger numbers than what these films are managing. Last year, November month also managed some good box office numbers and distributors need such positivity this year too. Let's wait and see.Â
