Advocate Representing Sushant's Family Responds To Actor's Flatmate Arrest, Terms It 'poetic Justice
The Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) sleuths have made one more arrest over the alleged drug abuse in connection with Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The accused were arrested in Hyderabad and shifted to Mumbai later.
Reacting to the arrest of Siddharth Pithani, a former flatmate of Sushant, advocate Vikas Singh, who is representing the actor's family in the case said the arrest was 'poetic justice'.
A leading daily has quoted Mr. Singh as saying that:" Siddharth will be crucial in the case, as he had opened the room and called the locksmith to open the door. He was the one who lowered the actor's body".
Talking about the CBI investigation in the case, the advocate said, the Central Agency would not rush to file a charge sheet. CBI is looking at various angles in the case, including the murder angle. The agency is taking time, as revealing half baked story without unraveling the mystery behind it will not make any sense.
The talented actor was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. The case was investigated by the Mumbai Police initially, which was transferred to the central agency Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI).
Separate inquiries by other agencies, Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) and Enforcement Directorate(ED) are also underway simultaneously. The new arrest was made as part of the probe.
